In this wordless picture book, a brave hoopoe bird leads his friends on a quest for enlightenment. Loosely inspired by the Sufi allegorical poem “The Conference of the Birds,” the book draws from the tradition of Persian miniatures and features richly decorated borders to help tell the story of the hoopoe’s journey.
